Cockpit & Controls Department
Flight Director & Autopilot Computer Repair
The computers behind the panel: flight director, pitch and roll, steering, mode couplers, autopilot amplifiers and yaw damper computers — our Cockpit & Controls speciality.
Flight director and autopilot computers are where a lot of legacy avionics trouble actually lives. The indicator on the panel is often serviceable; the fault is in the pitch and roll computer, the steering computer, the mode coupler, or the amplifier driving the servo.
Air Shunt's Cockpit & Controls department services a wide variety of cockpit instrumentation and related systems across commercial and military aircraft, supporting product lines from Honeywell/Sperry, Allied Bendix/King, Rockwell Collins, Aerosonic, Kollsman/IDC, Lear Siegler, Smiths, Clifton, and Ametek. Because our Flight Instruments department is on the same site, the indicator and the box behind it can be worked together rather than shipped to two vendors.

Repair, Overhaul, or Exchange
Every unit we quote fresh tag is freshly overhauled or tested with a fresh tag. Where an exchange makes more sense than a repair, we can often supply from inventory instead — we hold over 10 million spare parts on hand, and in-stock aircraft parts are ready for immediate delivery. All products are subject to prior sale.

DC-8, MD-80, B-727 and B-767 on the commercial side; A-4, A-6, A-7, F-4, F-5, F-15, F-16 and F/A-18 fighters; CH-3, CH-46, CH-47 and CH-53 rotary wing; C-123, C-130 and C-160 transports; and P-3, E-2 and E-3 maritime patrol and airborne early warning aircraft.
