Flight Instruments Department

Air Speed Indicator Repair & Overhaul

Air speed indicators are tested, repaired, and overhauled by our Flight Instruments department, alongside altimeters and gyros — the rest of the primary pitot-static group.

The air speed indicator compares pitot (total) pressure against static pressure and displays the difference as indicated air speed. It shares the pitot-static plumbing with the altimeter, which is why the two are almost always worked together when a panel comes in.

Air Shunt Instruments handles air speed indicators as part of the Flight Instruments department at our Chatsworth, California facility, under FAA repair station certificate YD2R315L and EASA Part-145 approval EASA.145.4087.

Repair, Overhaul, or Exchange

Every unit we quote fresh tag is freshly overhauled or tested with a fresh tag. Where an exchange makes more sense than a repair, we can often supply from inventory instead — we hold over 10 million spare parts on hand, and in-stock aircraft parts are ready for immediate delivery. All products are subject to prior sale.
